Tulip wonderland, Kamiyubetsu Tulip Park (かみゆうべつチューリップ公園)

Visiting this beautiful tulip park is definitely one of the highlights of my last Hokkaido trip, the scale of the park is enough to leave a lasting impression on me.

I have never thought it’s going to be this huge~! Beware, this post is flower intensive.

< Just look at the amount of tulips, and this is only part of the park~! >

< There is actually a observation deck in this windmill structure where you can have a panoramic view of the park. >

I heard there are about 1.2 million tulips here… and that’s a lot of them~!

It’s a great place for some portraiture too. There are certainly many people visiting this place, but because of the scale of it, it’s quite easy to find an opening that is free of other people in your frame. Just pops up your telephoto lens and wait a little while.

I don’t think there is any public transport that connects to the park, so getting there by rental car is recommended. There are some tours in Hokkaido that handles one day tour too, do some research if you plan to visit it on your next travel.

Prepare at least one hour to explore the place, there are many shops outside the park where you can grab some local snacks or souvenirs too.

Also remember to check out the rest of my post on Hokkaido here!
